War Cemetery: The revered memorial commemorates the brave soldiers and warriors who laid their lives fighting the Japanese during the World War II. It is embellished by two tall crosses against the backdrop of seasonal roses & lush greenery.
The base of the lower cross, is engraved with the lines:
“When you go home, tell them of us & say; “For your tomorrow, we gave our today”

The Catholic Cathedral at Aradura Hill in Kohima, is one of the biggest cathedrals in North-east India. Its splendid architecture makes it one of the important landmarks of Kohima. The unique design created by blending the traditional with the orthodox developed into an architectural marvel. A must-visit place in Kohima.

After breakfast drive to the green village, Khonoma. Take a village walk and visit the Morungs (the age group house), the ceremonial gates and meet the local craftsmen. Collectively Khonoma was known for its fighting prowess in the past and for the fallow management of its alder trees which balance the nature and its surrounding areas.

Also visit the beautiful Dzuleke Village. Later back to Kohima. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in Kohima.

Khonoma is also famous for its forests and a unique form of agriculture, including some of the oldest terraced cultivation in the region.

Dzuleke is a serene, scenic village in Nagaland, India, known for its lush greenery, biodiversity, and unique cultural traditions. It's a haven for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful escape. The village is named after the Dzuleke River and is located near Khonoma, the first "green village" of India.

Morning after breakfast check out and drive to Jorhat. to the Hoollongapar Gibbon Wildlife sanctuary. Consisting of semi-evergreen and evergreen forests surrounded by tea gardens. The sanctuary is famed for the Hoolock Gibbon, India’s only gibbons. Trek into the sanctuary. Later return to Jorhat. Overnight stay in Jorhat.

This is an isolated protected area of evergreen forest located in Assam, India. The sanctuary was officially constituted and renamed in 1997. The sanctuary has a very rich biodiversity and is home to the only apes in India, the western hoolock gibbon (Hoolock hoolock), as well as the only nocturnal primate found in the northeast Indian states, the Bengal slow loris (Nycticebus bengalensis). Besides the platypus, slow lorises are the only venomous mammals. The stinky oily secretion from glands on the inner surface of loris elbows is harmless but becomes toxic when mixed with its saliva.

After breakfast, proceed for a day trip to Sivsagar. Discover the erstwhile capital of the Ahom Dynasty which ruled Assam for 6 Centuries. It is a beautiful town unveiling the marvels of the ancient capital of the Ahom kings, their marvellous archaeological remains, palaces, and temples. Overnight stay in Jorhat.

Visit the Shivadol (a group of temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Durga, located on the banks of the Sivasagar Lake, the ‘Borpukhuri’), Kereng Ghar, Rang Ghar (one of the oldest surviving amphitheatres in Asia built between AD 1744–1750), Talatal Ghar (a Tai Ahom architecture Palace and the largest of all the monuments built during Ahom kingdom) and Kareng Ghar (The “Garhgaon Palace” was the Royal House of the Tai-Ahom kings). These monuments tell the tale of a majestic past.

Also visit the Charaideo Moidam ‘shining city on the hills’, which has recently been added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site under the cultural property category. The moidams which display the brilliant architecture of the medieval era, are the burial mounds of the Ahom kings and members of the Ahom royalty, drawing parallels with the Pyramids of Egypt. Overnight Stay in Jorhat.

After Early Breakfast proceed to Majuli, World's Largest River Island situated in the midst of river Brahmaputra. You will be transferred to Nimati ghat, near Jorhat, from where you will take a ferry to Majuli.

Majuli is a hub of Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture, initiated around 15th century by the revered Assamese saint Srimanta Sankardeva and his disciple Madhavdeva.

Also, unique to the Island is the art of mask making, a traditional craft only found here, especially in Samaguri Sattra. These masks are an integral part of the Satriya culture. Made of clay, bamboo, cloth etc., they are light weight and depict characters of the Mahabharata, Ramayana, and the Puranas.

Later trek to a Missing Village where the people reside in 'Chang Ghar', houses built with raised bamboo platforms. The village women are adept weavers and you can witness them weaving exclusive motifs on their 'Taat-xaal' (looms).

The phrase "Missing Village in Majuli" likely refers to the Mishing Village, which is a community of the Mishing tribe located on Majuli Island in Assam. The Mishing are the largest tribal group on the island and their villages are characterized by traditional stilt houses made of bamboo and cane. These villages are known for weaving, with many households having looms where traditional clothing is made.

The Mishing people have a rich cultural heritage, including festivals like Ali Ai Ligang, traditional dances, music, and cuisine. Their lifestyle is often described as harmonious with nature, and they have developed sustainable living practices over generations

Overnight stay in Majuli in guesthouse / Missing style house.

After breakfast, explore the village. Visit different Vaishnavite Satras with guide, taking you through the culture and history of the region. Later take a ferry to Jorhat and transfer to Jorhat / Dibrugarh. Overnight stay in Jorhat / Dibrugarh.
