Today enter the world of Sun Touriism Internationall Pvt Ltd as you begin your wonderful tour of “Kolkata, Gangasagar with Orissa”. Pick up from your residence and proceed to airport to board the flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival at Kolkata Airport visit Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Belur Math. Then Check - in to The Hotel & Overnight Stay At Kolkata.
After early breakfast, start for a full-day excursion to Gangasagar - An Island in the confluence of River Ganga & Bay of Bengal & famous for Kapil Muni Ashram which is considered to be of great religious significance, BAPS Shri Swami Narayan Temple, free time for shopping, then back to Hotel overnight stay at Kolkata.
After Breakfast visit Birla Temple, Kalighat Kali temple. Drive pass by Howrah bridge & Eden Garden Stadium. Then Back to Hotel & Overnight Stay At Kolkata.
Early morning today checkout from Hotel then drop at Kolkata Railway Station for your onward journey to Orissa. Upon arrival at Railway Station start to proceed to visit the World Famous Konark Sun Temple; dedicated to the Hindu Sun God (Surya), what remains of the temple complex has the appearance of a 100-foot high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone. Later Check in to the hotel at Puri. Evening free time at beach. Overnight at Puri.
After early breakfast proceed to visit the 12th-century world famous Jagannath Temple; an important Hindu temple dedicated to Jagannath, a form of Sri Krishna in Puri on the eastern coast of India. Later transfer to Chilika Lake - It is Asia’s largest brackish water lake & spreads across 1,100 sq. km. The lake is a winter hub of many spectacular migratory birds. The view of sunset & Sunrise is a delight to watch. Upon Arrival at Satapada - watch the Irrawaddy Dolphins in Chilika Lake. Dolphins are the main attraction here. Highest population of Irrawaddy dolphins in the world are seen in Chilika. Later Proceed to Bhubaneswar. Enroute visit to Pipili. On arrival visit the Pipili market. It is famous for designing beautiful Applique handicrafts. It is a town of artisans famous for their colorful fabrics. Upon Arrival at Bhubaneswar check in to the hotel & overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast visit Odisha State Museum, Mukteswar Temple, Lingaraj Temple; dedicated to Harihara, a combination of Lord Shiv & Vishnu, this temple was constructed in the 11th century, by Jajati Keshari, a Somavanshi king. Enjoy some shopping in local market. Later proceed to visit Dhauli. Dhauli is located on the bank of river Daya. It is the site where the famous battle between King Ashoka and King of Kalinga took place. Around 2,50,000 people lost their life in that Kalinga War. Later visit The Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa). This is a Buddhist shrine, called as Dhaulagiri. This was built in 1972 by Japan Buddha Sangh. In the evening witness the Dhauli light and sound show which depicts the Kalinga War and Emperor Ashoka's transformation to Buddhism, using narrations, paintings, and 3D projections. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast checkout and transfer to visit the Khandagiri & Udayagiri Jain caves. Udayagiri, the 'Sunrise Mountain’, was a Buddhist and Bhagavata site by the 2nd century BCE. The caves are situated on two adjacent hills, Udayagiri and Khandagiri. They are partly natural and partly artificial caves of archaeological, historical and religious importance. Have some free time for some last minute shopping. Then drop at Bhubaneswar Airport for your onward journey with sweet memories of Odisha.
