Today enter the world of Sun Touriism Internationall Pvt Ltd as you begin your wonderful tour of Tamil Nadu. Pickup from your Residence and transfer to Pune Airport for your flight to Coimbatore.
Arrive at Coimbatore Airport. Enroute have breakfast. Later proceed to Isha Yoga center and Witness the massive 112-foot Adiyogi Statue, a marvel of modern engineering and spirituality. Later transfer to Madurai. Madurai is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities and serves as the cultural soul of Tamil Nadu. Upon arrival Check in to the hotel and rest. Evening some free time for shopping Overnight stay in Madurai.
Today early morning visit Meenakshi Amman Temple, also known as the Meenakshi-Sundershwara Temple is one of the oldest temples in India. Post Check out visit Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal for its massive white pillars. Proceed to Rameshwaram - the place from where Lord Rama, built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita, from her abductor, Ravana. Pass by Pamban bridge. In the evening, we enjoy a beautiful walk at Dhanushkodi Beach. Overnight stay at Rameshwaram.
Today we visit Ramanathaswamy Temple – this is one of the very few temples in the history of India which is built in the Dravidian style architecture. It is widely known for its historical significance and has 22 theerthams where one can take a bath to get rid of the sins. Later we proceed to Chettinad- the Land of Heritage and Devotion. Later check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Karaikudi.
Today after breakfast we will visit the Chettinad Mansion, known for its beautiful heritage house built during the prosperous years of the Chettiar community. We then take a photo stop at the Chettinad Palace, known for its elegant European-style architecture. Visit an Athangudi Tile Factory to see how traditional handmade tiles are crafted. Before heading back to the hotel, we will visit the most interesting temple in the region. The Aiyanar temple of Kanadukathan. The only temple without a roof, this Aiyanar temple is known for its terracotta horses lined up on either side of a 500 meter pathway to the idols. We will return to The hotel. Overninght in Karaikudi.
After breakfast we proceed to Thanjavur. Upon arrival we visit Brihadeeswara Temple – A UNESCO World Heritage Site in Thanjavur, the Brihadeeswarar Temple is a Chola architectural masterpiece. The round apex structure is believed to be built out of a carving on a single stone. Later we visit Maratha Palace – also known as “Sivagangai Fort”. Evening free time in the market. Overnight stay at Thanjavur.
Have early breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Puducherry. Enroute we will visit Chidambaram. Thillai Nataraja Temple, also referred as the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Nataraja, form of Shiva as the Lord of dance. This Temple has ancient roots and a Shiva shrine existed at the site when the town was known as Thillai. Later we will proceed to Pondicherry. Overnight stay at Pondicherry.
Today after breakfast, we explore the beautiful city of Pondicherry, we view Auroville and visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum and French War Memorial. In the evening we take a wonderful heritage walk in the French colonies as well as along Promenade Beach. Overnight stay at Pondicherry.
After breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed to Mahabalipuram. On arrival at Mahabalipuram visit Mahabalipuram Shore Temple; an excellent example of Pallava Art which is a UNESCO world heritage site, also visit Cave Temples, Krishna's Butter Ball, Five Rathas. Later proceed to Chennai. Have some free time for shopping. Later proceed to airport for your return flight with wonderful memories with Sun Touriism.
